This question – asked so often – suggests that there is actually a plausible answer. Almost as if our being were a fixed thing. People who ask this sort of question are typically struggling with their identity and are searching for a core sense of themselves.
I always ask myself this question, and the more I ask this question the more confused I get. When I look at my self I see shattered pieces of me, I see memories, I see places, I see people… I see a lot of things, but I’m never able to put all these things together and find out who I really am.
But whenever we ask ourselves this question, don’t think about what we are so far, or what we’ve done. Think about what we want to be in the near future, think about the person that we want to be tomorrow. Find something and/or someone that makes us better people and stick to them. It will take you more time that you think to find out who you are, be patient.
In the meantime, enjoy every moment like it was the last, make good memories and meet new people. Life, laugh and love like there’s no tomorrow. In the end we all find out who we are. If you don’t find out, then it’s not the end.
